BIBM Congresses - where information is shared

The first congress in 1954 was the start of the international trade association of the precast concrete industry BIBM.

Since that date, 17 congresses have been organised at intervals of 3 years throughout all member countries.

The last congress was in Vienna, Austria - May 7-10, 2008 and the next one will be held in France in 2011.

The European Concrete Platform's event during the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) - Energy efficient buildings

The European Concrete Platform (ECP), as Campaign Associate of the Sust'Energy Campaign, held an event on Wednesday 11 February at the European Commission during the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)

It was the occasion for the ECP to introduce concrete solutions for more energy-efficient buildings and structures through the launch of its book on the Sustainable Benefits of Concrete Structures (executive summary) and the presentation of its brochure on energy efficiency.

BIBM Event in the European Parliament

The first phase of our action towards European decision-makers was launched this 23rd January 2008 in the European

Parliament.

Addressing the questions of adaptation and mitigation to climate change and energy efficiency, the precast concrete industry managed to bring in some innovative solutions for more resilient, comfortable and energy efficient building structures able

to withstand future climate evolutions.
