54th BetonTage "Concrete Solutions - Seizing Opportunities, Shaping the Future", 09-11 February 2010, Neu-Ulm (DE)
The BetonTage congress does not only offer a high-profile technical program – for several decades, it has also been a perfect venue for representatives of the European precast industry to share their experience, to establish contacts and to get new ideas and inspiration.
On the theme of “Seizing Opportunities”, industry peers will once again meet from 9 to 11 February 2010 at the Edwin-Scharff-Haus congress center in Neu-Ulm. The great variety of topics to be dealt with will cover all relevant segments of precast, including presentations on concrete products for road construction, gardening and landscaping, pipeline construction and structural precast, as well as lightweight concrete and small wastewater treatment plants. Panels focusing on economic and legal aspects will complement the technical part of the program. One of the key topics of the event will be the aspect of sustainability.
In this regard, the 54th BetonTage will provide the framework to present to a broad target audience, for the first time, the results of the joint research project on “Building Sustainably with Concrete” conducted by the Deutscher Ausschuss für Stahlbeton (DAfStb, German Committee for Structural Concrete) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Keitel, President of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. (BDI; Federation of German Industries), Berlin, will be delivering the keynote speech.
In response to the growing international awareness of the congress, the organizers decided to introduce the guest country principle. France will be the guest country of the 2010 congress. For this reason, selected plenary sessions and panels will be interpreted simultaneously into French in addition to the interpreting service into English. An exhibition that is already fully booked will round off the range of offerings whilst providing an overview of latest developments in the engineering, software and supplier industries.
