Within the framework of this Campaign, the European Concrete Platform organised an event during the European Sustainability Week (9-13 February 2009). It promoted the use of concrete as a construction material that can help achieving the targets for energy efficient buildings, thanks to its thermal mass for example.
The EUSEW is the key annual reference point for sustainable energy issues in Europe. The events organised during this week (in the European institutions and throughout Europe) covered key topics that highlighted the multi-sectoral nature of sustainable energy development and stress the need for everyone to work together towards a common goal.
